One advantage of working from home is that you just sit tight and window-shop while waiting for your paycheck. Thankfully, mine came in just a few days ago and I know exactly what I’ll be getting.
I’m also glad I came across some 2012 ralph lauren coupons that I can use for my January shopping spree. Yes, I do a “spree” once a month to know that I’m not limiting myself to just paying bills from my earnings.
Sad to say, unlike most employees, we don’t have a bonus… well, monetary that is. But I will forever have my own little bonus, and that’s the 24 hours I spend with my little one.
How do you spend your holidays, specifically New Year’s? Do you stay in your house or celebrate it with a group of friends (or strangers) in a public area and have a party?
Ever since I can remember, we’ve always spent New Year in our house. It was believed that spending it in the house with all your loved ones bring blessing for the coming year. But because of my mom’s persistent battle with Pneumonia during the days nearing New Year’s (probably due to the smoke from fireworks), we’ve had to take a Holiday getaway for about 5 years now.
We always spent our New Year in a hotel and just view all the fireworks from the 17th floor, but this time, I would love it we could go on a retreat in the woods where the smell of nature would envelope us. I’ve seen a couple of cabins for rent and have even seen pictures of the log cabin decor and I can say that I’m truly excited for this new adventure for us this year.
Where will you spend your New Year’s?
