My First Splurge

One of the very first things I bought when I was promoted back then (yes, let’s not talk about the good old days) was a second generation iPod Nano. It was such a big thing then and I remembered how cool it was that it was just a little bigger than a pack of cigarettes. I’m not a heavy music listener but I remember that it helped me so much when I had to work mid-shift and nobody else was at the office.

Since then iPod Nanos have evolved into such a useful gadget. The newest generations have cameras, pedometers, recorders, etc. that it isn’t simply for listening to music anymore. A lot of people have adapted it to their lifestyles, when they go to the gym or take it with them when they need to capture a scene.

Who would’ve imagine that such a small device could be such a big part of some people’s lives. It’s amazing how these things adapt to us as quickly as we change our habits. For now, I’m saving up for the newest generation, not for me but for my little girl. Yes, she loves music and I know it will be perfect for her, for the time being. When she discovers how to use it, I know she’ll love it too.

Noob WAHM

I’m getting a lot of help from my online friends about how to earn from home.  I know I still have a lot to learn especially when I decide to make it a full time job, but for now, I’m enjoying a couple of pennies here and there.  Oh trust me, it’s not a lot, but the feeling of earning again just gives me such enjoyment.

I don’t miss working as much anymore.  I kind of think I like this better than any job I’ve ever had.  Maybe it’s because I get to spend all my time with my little girl, yes, even while I’m “trying” to work.  After all, as soon as I found out I was pregnant (at last), I was happy and willing to give up everything because she was the one thing we have long waited for.  My husband was also very supportive of this career change which is why he’s all for working at home, no matter how little or big I make, because or priority is caring for our little princess, and I tell you, it’s one of, if not THE, hardest jobs in this whole wide world.
