I know the title sounds a bit weird, but hear me out.
My being online 24/5 (no-no during weekends) has reaped me some benefits. I’ve earned some and spent most of them for my little girl and husband. I just really love buying for them, as well as vouchers and coupons that we can share with my mom and sister.
Recently though, I decided to buy my earnings toward something for me. I seldom do that, I feel it’s just not worth it. But this one is something I really wanted and that I needed to do it. At that time, I felt it was now or never.
I bought myself a regimen to lose weight. I still don’t want to disclose what it is because I want to wait until after a month so I can say if I have experienced some side effects. It’s been good so far, but I know there are other products that may help me out. Finding the best safe weight loss pills that can go well with what I’m currently taking isn’t easy but I know that when I do find it, my motivation to lose weight will just sky rocket. Nevertheless, I’m still all for safely so until all this goes by me safely and effectively, I’ll hold which products these are for myself… for now.
Between blogging, tweaking and helping out in my hubby’s business (proofreading), I get to check my Facebook once in a while. I was shocked when I read about this story of a possible modus operandi in one of the known fitness gyms here in our country.
It was a note in Facebook and I don’t personally know the writer so unfortunately I can’t copy it here but I’m sure you’ll find it in Facebook when you do a search because it went viral in a matter of days. The gist of the story was that a man’s wallet was taken from the gym’s locker (with manual locks not those magnetized security cards) and his credit cards were used to purchase about 30k worth of groceries and a DSLR camera among others.
The owner only became aware of the theft when the credit card company called for a verification check probably due to the amount of expenses in a short period of time. Luckily, one of the cashiers in the grocery recalled the thief’s face and even luckier that the thief left his packages at the baggage counter. As soon as he came back for them, he was arrested.
Scary, right? I mean this thief was found to have owned a platinum membership card for the gym where the theft took place. Not only that, the thief also admitted that he is part of a syndicate who provides platinum memberships as a front for their modus operandi.
This is just credit card fraud. Sooner or later we also need to take precautions for identity theft. Though it’s not as rampant here as in other countries, I’d hate to hear that rfid credit card skimming has been introduced here and one’s identity is no longer safe as before.
