A Little Cell Phone Plan Magic

There are lots of ways to be savvy about the way that you spend your money. Some people clip coupons, others wait for door buster sales. There are hundreds of ways to stretch a dollar. Most of these methods, as wonderful as they are, do require the savvy money maven to do quite a bit of work and planning.

One of the best and easiest ways to save money is to reconsider your cell phone plan. The first step is to look at your most recent statements and figure out how much you are actually spending on a monthly basis. You’ll probably find, as most people do, that you are spending more than you thought you would when you signed up for the service.

This may be because there are a number of surcharges that are added to your bill. It also may be because you don’t actually have the right plan. Maybe you text more than you thought you would or, for those of you that have cell phone with email capacity, perhaps the problem is that you need a plan that supports a different level of email usage.

By doing a little bit of research now, you stand to save hundreds of dollars a year on your cell phone plan. There are a number of great sites online where you can compare rates and get a good sense of what plan is really the best cell phone plan for you. There are some people that can save up to $2,000 dollars a year by switching! Just think about what you could do with that much extra money on an annual basis.

The greatest part is that, once you make the switch, all you have to do is enjoy the savings. This is not a work intensive or time consuming process and you only have to do it once.

Juggling Mom and Employee

Being a stay at home mom is a difficult enough task, but when you throw in the task of making money from the home it becomes a scene out of Mission Impossible. There isn’t enough time in the day it seems to make ends meet and keep the kids happy and healthy. The difficulty isn’t so much in the nature of either job, although both have many facets, the problem is more so about managing and balancing both tasks at the same time.

Make Time For Work

Don’t let work fall by the wayside. Your kids come first, but that doesn’t mean that work shouldn’t factor in at all. Even if that means waking up at 5am when you know your kids wake up at 7am then so be it. Just putting in a good two hours of work before you put on your Mommy hat will make you feel better and much more at ease; it gives you one less thing hanging over your head.

Ask For Help

You know how your mother or your brother or family friends are always willing to help you and offering to take the kids off your hands for a day? Learn to say “yes” to these people. You won’t be putting them out to ask them to come through on their offer. You are asking them for help and you clearly need it. Family friends taking the kids out for the day can mean you get to catch up on some much needed personal time and that itself will make you a better employee and a better mother. Don’t wait till you get overwhelmed to ask for help. Ask for help right away and stay ahead of the stress. Even though you are probably working online, don’t have a stressful relationship with your computer, take some time out to play online games every once in a while.
