IIs it still practical to buy diamond engagement rings these days? I know of a few friends who got engaged, but instead of getting engagement rings with diamonds, they had other alternatives such as aquamarine and sapphire (which were the girlfriends’ favorite colors). For me, that’s perfectly fine. I mean, unless the guy who proposes to me is a millionaire, I think it’s only practical to buy what is within his means. I don’t see the point getting buried deep in debt just for a ring. It’s the relationship that counts anyway.

The Look of Success
When I was still a young kid, I looked up to my brother. He always wore a button-down polo, freshly pressed pants, and he always carried his briefcase around. For me, he looked “successful”.
When I started working in the call center industry, that is where I learned about the phrase “dress to success”. People who dress professionally are almost always the ones who are in the top positions, or those who get promoted to the top positions. Dressing to success doesn’t mean carrying briefcases around and wearing designer clothing. Dressing to success is dressing smart. Even a simple outfit can look professional if it’s clean and neat. Don’t forget the hair, the face and the nails too. They should always be kept clean and tidy.
